Project Scope
HoloPath is a research project dedicated to transforming pathology through digital holographic microscopy (DHM) and artificial intelligence.
Our goal is to create and validate an intelligent procedure for grading (IPG) unstained colonic tissue biopsies, providing a faster, more accurate, and chemical-free alternative to traditional pathology methods.

What We Do
Capture holographic images (HIs) of unstained tissue samples, revealing nanoscale changes in protein distribution.
Apply AI algorithms to detect, classify, and grade tissue abnormalities such as:
– Lowgrade and highgrade dysplastic polyps
– Well, moderately, and poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma
Generate holographic biomarkers (HBs) that correlate with conventional histology and fibrosis markers.
Expected Outcomes
Digital library of HIs of colon polyps and adenocarcinoma and computed HBs
Algorithms for identification and assessment of histology structures
Graphical user interface for a facile use of the algorithms, accessing the digital library in an integrated procedure, as a diagnostic assisted procedure for Pathology
